Before I get into the playlist, I am going to talk about what it is all about. I took a poll on Instagram and everyone who voted thought I should do this. So every other week I will be posting what I am currently listening to and what I love about it.
1. "Outrunning Karma" by Alec Benjamin
There is a steady, compelling beat that draws the listener in from the first second of the song. Benjamin's voice is angelic, and he delivers his lyrics with ease. Even though it's a song about an average heartbreaker, it is not average at all.
2. "Birthday Party" by AJR
Brother band AJR has a consistent alternate-electronic sound and "Birthday Party" is no exception. While it is catchy and groovy, it also covers serious topics like immigration and social media addictions. It mixes several different sounds and moods into four enjoyable minutes.
3. "Sunflower" by Post Malone and Swae Lee
Hit song of the "Spider-man: Into the Spider-Verse," it has a dance-worthy beat and great vocals. It is an enjoyable song, even for people who do not normally listen to rap music.
4. "My Strange Addiction" by Billie Eilish
Eilish combines her unique style of music with famous quotes from hit NBC show, "The Office," in one of her latest songs. With an ominous vibe, it is a song that makes the listener want to sing alone.
